Call for submissions is now open!
Dear ASPO member,
We are happy to announce that the call for submissions is now open for our annual ASPO conference on the 10th and 11th of December 2015, organized by the University of Amsterdam.
The ASPO conference is an exciting opportunity to meet colleagues, present your work, and to stay up-to-date with the latest research in social psychology in the Netherlands. Like last year, the conference will be held in English and there will be no yearbook. To appeal to both junior and senior researchers, three different types of submissions are possible (see below for details).
If you would like to contribute to the ASPO conference by presenting your research, we invite you to submit an abstract of max. 250 words. If you submit empirical research, data collection and analysis should be completed at the time of submission. On the basis of the abstracts that we receive, the program committee will select presenters for the conference.
This year, the program committee consists of Suzanne Oosterwijk (UvA), Bastiaan Rutjens (UvA), Lotte van Dillen (University of Leiden), Matthijs Baas (UvA), and Marc Heerdink (UvA).
The procedure is as follows:
- You submit an abstract to the following mail address: ASPO2015Amsterdam@gmail.com Please use one of the forms that can be accessed via this link: http://tinyurl.com/pqdx827 Submission deadline is September 20th.
- The program committee will select submissions. You will receive an email telling you whether your proposed presentation was accepted in early November.
- If your contribution was accepted, you present your work at the conference in December. Thus, you are not required to submit additional/longer texts on your research.
You can submit one of three types of presentations:
- Symposium (up to 4 presentations)
A symposium requires a general abstract and a maximum of four specific abstracts (each one of up to 250 words). Symposia should ideally be made up of junior and senior researchers from different universities. A symposium could consist of 4 presentations on a related topic, but could also be a debate session, or a panel discussion.
- Individual presentation
This is a regular talk. Please submit an abstract of up to 250 words.
- Poster presentation
For a poster presentation, please submit an abstract of up to 250 words. The best poster presentation will be selected during the conference by the conference program committee, and will be awarded the Dancker Daamen award.
We are looking forward to receiving your submissions!

Agneta Fischer, Nils Jostmann, Suzanne Oosterwijk, Bastiaan Rutjens, Disa Sauter
