De ASPO-conferentie vindt elk jaar plaats. Het is de grootste bijeenkomst die door de vereniging wordt gesponsord en biedt leden de gelegenheid elkaar te ontmoeten en hun werk met een groot deel van de leden te bespreken. Het is tevens de gelegenheid waarop de Ledenvergadering plaatsvindt, waar onder meer nieuwe leden van het bestuur worden aangekondigd.

ASPO conference 2026 – Call for submissions
We are very happy to host the ASPO conference on the 9th and 10th of December 2026 in Amsterdam!
General Information
The conference will be hosted at the public library of Amsterdam (OBA Amsterdam), conveniently located close to Amsterdam Central Station: OBA Oosterdok, Oosterdokskade 143, 1011DL Amsterdam
The (optional) conference dinner will be hosted at the restaurant „de Waag“, which is at walking distance from the conference location.

Submission (regular talk and poster)
The submission of abstracts is now possible here: ASPO congres 2026: Submission form – Fill in form
We are planning to host regular talks (10 + 5 min) in parallel sessions and posters. The allocation decisions are contingent on the amount and quality of submissions.
Submissions as talks need to contain information the collected sample and the (planned) analyses in the abstract. In the case of multiple studies, the data of at least one study must have been collected. Results should be available by the time of the conference.
Projects submitted as posters may be at an earlier stage at the time of submission. In that case, authors should describe the sampling and analysis plan in the abstract.
Registration fees
The registration opens after the evaluation of submissions has been completed and communicated.
Full registration: 250€
PhD Students: 200€
By registering for the conference, you will agree to become an ASPO full member or ASPO PhD member for one year. The membership fee is €30 for full members and €20 for PhD members. This fee included in the conference fee above. Membership will not be automatically renewed.
The cost for joining the (optional) dinner is 75€. Although the dinner location is large, seats are limited.
